I've known the department store 'Steffl' since childhood. In the 19th century, Mozart's last residence stood on the exact same spot - hence there used to be a Mozart memorial in the department for luggage and purses on the 4th floor, made of a larger-than-life bust of Mozart, a display with copies of the first pages of the score of the requiem and a marble sign with gold lettering: 'To the musical art's unequaled master, who lived here until his death, this monument was dedicated by Pietro Calvagni during the renovation of this house, 1849'.
